PHOTOS: Kauai Panoramas

In the old days, panoramic shots were the domain of professional photographers. Today, with smart phones such as the iPhone 6, 7, 8 and 10, anyone can take near-professional, wide-angle shots of their favorite places. Our favorite place, of course, is Kauai, and we’ve been taking panoramic shots all over the island. Below are a few of our panoramas, and as you will see, panoramic shots are a great way to capture Kauai’s epic beauty.

To use the panoramic feature, go to your iPhone 6 or later camera, then swipe over to PANO on the bottom menu (where you can also switch between PHOTO and VIDEO). Hold the camera vertically and point the camera to where you want the left of the photo to begin. Click on the shutter button, then slowly pan right. Try to keep the arrow on the yellow line as you pan across. Click on the shutter button again when you have reached the right of the image. You can now view the panoramic photo in your photos album. (Panoramic features may also be available on other phones and directions may vary.)
