PHOTOS: Kekaha Sugar Mill

The Kekaha Sugar Mill still stands on Kauai’s west side despite closing in the year 2000. For almost 120 years, the mill was a centerpiece of western Kauai life, providing jobs and economic stimulus to the area. In 2005, investors bought the mill and sold the machinery to other refineries around the world.
