St. Regis Princeville Resort Visit 2017

St. Regis Princeville Resort Visit 2017

Apologies to the other fine hotels on Kauai but the St. Regis Princeville Resort is, in our opinion, the best hotel to stay at on the island. Though it is luxurious and fancy on the inside, it’s what’s on the outside that makes the hotel the best. And what is on the outside is none other than an incredible Hanalei Bay vista and the picturesque Puu Poa Beach. You will never see another sunset as spectacular as the ones you will see from a St. Regis Princeville balcony. No wonder the resort is a favorite honeymoon and wedding destination, and also a famous haunt of the the rich and famous.

But you don’t have to be rich or famous to experience the charms of the St. Regis Princeville Resort. It’s also a nice place to visit. The hotel is open to the public, including the resort’s several restaurants. Our favorites are the poolside Nalu Kai Grill and Bar with burgers, sandwiches, salads, fish and chips and the more sophisticated Makana Terrace with beautiful views of the bay. A Sunday brunch is also one of our favorites.

Though you probably wouldn’t get away with using the St. Regis Princeville pool, the beach is free. Beautiful Puu Poa Beach is semi-secluded, with only direct access from the St. Regis Princeville Resort and Hanalei Bay Resort (up a pathway). Sunsets on the beach are a spectacle to witness.

Below are some of our photos from a recent visit to the resort.
