Sushi Girl is a tiny, hole-in-the-wall eatery on Kauai’s North Shore that is big on character and taste. It’s located in a sliver of space next to the Wainiha General Store, making it one of the last chances for food service on the way to Ke’e Beach or one of the first stops on the way back. Favorites include the Sushi Burrito with ahi sashimi, avocado, beans, corn, mixed greens and yum yum sauce and the “Action” Poke Bowl with ponzu sauce over a bed of sushi rice. The food is fresh and delicious and often right out of the ocean. It’s a great place to quench your thirst after a day at the beach or a hike on the Kalalau Trail. But you don’t have to be just passing by to enjoy Sushi Girl. Many people in the Hanalei/Princeville area make specific trips to Sushi Girl, with the beautiful drive up the coast as an added bonus.
Sushi Girl is open daily 11AM to 7PM. There’s no seating, but don’t let that stop you. There are plenty of beaches nearby. Perhaps you’ll make it an evening and take your Sushi Girl order to Ke’e Beach for a sunset meal!
