It was a bright sunny day for our latest visit to Queen’s Bath. As always, everything about the visit was treacherous. The hike down from the parking lot was muddy and slippery, the lava rocks were as sharp as ever, and rogue waves occasionally crashed the tide pool that is Queen’s Bath. The area is as dangerous as it is beautiful. Always exercise extreme caution when visiting this area. Recently, a couple and their 11-month-old baby were swept into the water by a rogue wave (news story with video).
