Tragedy has struck the North Shore Kauai town of Hanalei. Hanalei’s beloved Bubba Burgers has closed indefinitely, possibly due to a legal issue between owners. The closure has left the town without one of its most iconic eating establishments. The restaurant, favored by tourists and locals alike, sat in the middle of the town square. Inside were pics of many celebrities who had enjoyed Bubba Burgers over the years. There’s hope Bubba Burgers Hanalei may reopen at some point in the future. Until then you can get your Bubba Burgers fix at their Kapaa and Poipu locations. We’ll keep you updated on this very important matter.
Update 1.14.17: An employee at Bubba Burgers in Kapaa said Federico’s Fresh-Mex Cuisine (currently in Princeville) will be moving into the building vacated by Bubba Burgers Hanalei. According to the employee, the Hanalei location was a franchise while the locations in Kapaa and Poipu are company owned.
